This created a non-centralized starting point for daily work meant employees wasted time hunting for tools and relevant information across disconnected systems.

The Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam continued for long time to exist with a static design system. This didnt allow the UX team to have reusable components or the development team to create a correspending design system. This was a motive to create a sustainable design system that will be the base for future years and all new UX designers and other VU employees.

The students of the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam face many challenges. The biggest pain is different type of students not knowing the steps they are required to do to be able to continue thier study smoothly. This comes due to not being able to find the relevant information and not knowing which and when is each step needed. This portal provides an automated overview of steps.
